You are always guaranteed a warm welcome at The Nag’s Head in Saltby from landlord and landlady John and Kathy Cox.

A traditional village pub serving hearty, wholesome food accompanied by a regular range of real ales, the Nag’s Head is very much the centre of the village.

The Nag’s Head is open Tuesday to Sunday and bookings for the restaurant can be made on 01476 860 491. The pub is also available for private parties and events and has regular live music.

See here for sample menus and details of the real ales on tap.

John and Kathy Cox came to Saltby from the Recruiting Seargeant in Grantham, and since arriving in Saltby they have helped make the Nags Head a central feature of village life.

Over recent years the Nags Head has raised money for a string of good causes, particularly the Air Ambulance, as well as offering constant support to community activities in the village. It has also provided jobs for many of the village’s young people.

The Nag’s Head is very much at the heart of the community hosting many village events both communal and personal, and it has a number of teams playing in local leagues including darts, dominoes and Petanque (see games at the Nags Head) . It’s reputation extends well beyond the village though and it is a focal point for many other clubs and Societies, brought into the village by its fine ales and wholesome menus.
